크레비쥬(대표 김경환)에는 남다른 상상력과 프롬프트 엔지니어링으로 인공지능(AI) 기반 디지털 아트를 생성하는 아티스트가 다수 포진해 있다. 이번에는 더욱 실험적인 주제, 'LLM 의인화'를 시도했다.
오픈AI의 '챗GPT'나 구글의 '제미나이'는 물론 네이버의 '하이퍼클로바X'나 업스테이즈의 '솔라' 등도 포함됐다. 각 LLM의 기능이나 특징을 담아내려고 애썼다. 그 결과 개성 넘치는 작품이 탄생했다.
부제는 '어느 날 형체를 가지게 된 LLM'이다. 미드저니는 과연 LLM을 어떻게 모습으로 이해하고 있을까.

우선 현존 최강으로 기술 혁신을 이끌어 가는 '챗GPT'에는 인텔리전트한 이미지를 반영했다. 업계 선두인데다 AGI를 목표로 하는 만큼, 품격과 고뇌가 느껴지기도 한다. 잘 차려입은 정장은 챗GPT의 정중한 말투를 떠올리게 한다.

앤트로픽의 '클로드'는 헐크로 재탄생했다. 챗GPT를 넘어서겠다는 회사의 의지와 '헌법 AI'라는 엄격한 가드레일로 다른 모델에 비해 우직하고 헛소리가 적은 점을 반영한 것일까.
'클로드 4'에서 정말 헐크로 변해도 놀라지 않을 일이긴 하다.

구글의 제미나이는 수수께끼의 인물로 표현됐다. 역대 최강 모델이라고 내놓았지만, 엉뚱하게도 인종 편향적인 이미지 생성 문제로 구설에 시달리는 상황과 맞아 떨어진다.
진짜 제미나이의 능력은 어디까지일까. 배트맨의 '리들러'가 연상되기도 한다.

네이버의 '하이퍼클로바X'는 우주인을 연상케 한다. 국내에서 가장 먼저 등장한 모델이란 점 때문에 우주를 개척하는 '프런티어' 이미지를 만들어낸 듯하다.

이번 프로젝트에서 가장 기대가 됐던 것은 메타의 '라마'였다. 흔히 단어 그대로 동물 이미지로 많이 표현됐기 떄문이다.
하지만 결과는 의외였다. 반인-반로봇 형태로 재현됐다. 오픈 소스 특성상 아직 완성체가 아니라는 점을 보여준 것일까.

'미스트랄'은 프랑스 국적이 반영된 듯 하다. 예술적이면서도 추상적인 AI 휴먼의 모습으로 재탄생됐다. 프랑스 패션쇼에 등장하는 모델 같기도 하다.

가장 충격적인 비주얼이다. 러브크래프트의 공포 소설에 등장하는 심해 괴물 같은 모습이다. 하긴 성능만 보면 괴물급이 맞기는 하다.

오픈 소스 무대를 평정한 업스테이지의 소형언어모델(sLM) '솔라'는 챗GPT와 결이 비슷하다. 하지만 더 심플하고 젊고 미래적인 이미지다. 업스테이지도 좋아할 만한 결과물로 보인다.
